“Enlighted Souls is a lightpainting project I started in May 2011 in Christchurch, New Zealand. I first thought of it as an artistic and morale contribution to the 6.3 quake’s aftermath. I used stencils to paint enlightened characters to remember human losses and to show the spirit of a wouned city. It turned out to be an interesting way to share ideas and feelings about society and life. After all, this is what street art is made for.”

These just blow my mind, Wittner Fabrice admits himself that these are still a ‘work in progress’ after he received much criticism about them looking too photoshoped. If these are the work in progress, I cannot wait to see how they develop.

“… basically I just like getting my hands dirty, I love the manual process, I like ripping down old posters to scan the textures, cutting up typography to glue it up in a manner that probably doesn’t please the usual kern obsessed designer, I like exploring old, abandoned places to spend some time alone with a wall, I enjoy photographing closed doors filled with tags and graffiti while standbyers in suits and ties look at me in disgust I like being left-handed I can’t stay away too long from the drawing board to sketch up detailed drawings of whatever goes on in my dreams, I have a slight obsession for human anatomy and I love irony, hence the name Rotten Leftovers!”
